City Of Rocks and the Hot Spring Theory

Embedded In The Geo-Thermo hot zone of southern new mexico lies a healing potential that has awakened!

Faywood Hot Springs is located near Silver City, New Mexico.  Past the Mimbres River and set among the soft mounds of rocky desert sand is hidden thirteen geo-thermal pools that offer a fun, relaxing, healthy and affordable way to spend your free time.  Public and private pools are available for under 15$, children are welcome and if this is your first time, they have towels , too!
Ambience – Faywood Hot Springs and other hot spring lodges like it (both free and paid) are available in  wonderful natural settings.  The pools are embedded among the natural flora and fauna of high desert New Mexico.   One can find hot springs all across America and the world.  Usual hot springs etiquette prefers a shower prior to soaking.
Balneotherapy – Geo-thermal hot spring pools are more than just a hot bath.  Water heated underground by the thermal mass of the Earth dissolve mineral deposits embedded in the land.  The water then pools or is pulled above ground into a pool  made of mostly rock stone or concrete.  The content of hot spring water includes gold, silver, copper and bronze.  One is literally being infused with the prized metals and minerals! Alcohol consumption is not recommended while soaking in the springs.
Hot spring soaking has treated many conditions and ills of society throughout Time.   This branch of therapy serves the circulatory system and also peace of mind.   A successful soak will leave the soaker relaxed.  Rates of regulated blood pressure have been observed after an hour soak.
Sprituality & Lifestyle - The concept of a bathing or swimming in a pool is that one is submerged in another element completely, as we are submerged completely in air after being born or while carrying out daily tasks.  On a spiritual note, submerging oneself into a hot springs pool is a symbolic “re-entry into the womb.”   For most, those were good days:  being carried about, feeling weightlessness, a comforting quiet solitude.  The aforementioned states seem to evoke greater and heightened awareness as tools that we carry on into our Lives.
Hot springs bathing is a versatile element to add to one’s lifestyle.  They can be enjoyed during an intimate getaway, with family, as a spiritual practice or as a method of therapy.

Were Back 2012 and beyond!

After a long year in 2011 the Free From Chains Collective have returned in 2012 with a new project and new land to develop.  This year we will be working on a property that is still grid-tied.  The challenge is to take this property off grid as much as possible and use the remaining grid resources to store energy in battery cells.

We have decided after being off grid for two years to take the project to the next level.  Our vision is to integrate on and off-grid applications that will bring us to ultimate sustainable solutions that will push us through 2012 with awareness and harmony.

Whether or not we receive a pole shift, mass solar flares or the collapse of society we know today that if life continues the most important goal is self-reliance. Self reliance to our collective means that we are in harmony with our environment; natural or artificial.   The experience we have gained from living off-grid has taught us more than we could ever imagine about the human experience and why we are here in the first placeus more than we could ever image about the human experience and why we are here in the first place
